Thanks to the manufacturing process in the pressing of the clay, with 1 centimetre of thickness and, to the subsequent treatment of painted and glazed, the tile acquires a very high thermal and acoustic insulating property, achieving a great energy saving by transpiration for both interior and exterior. Thus contributing to better energy efficiency.

COLOUR CODE:

The pieces exhibited in this catalogue have a reference that identifies them, this is composed as follows:

 - The first three numbers correspond to the model, the second two numbers correspond to the colour. E.g. 001-00; 001 tells us that it is the first model; 00 tells us that it is painted in five colours.

 - The tiles are usually painted in one, two or five colours, the references marked on our products express it as we saw in the previous example, for this we have assigned to each of the colours we use, the following numerical code:

1 white colour, * 2 green colour, * 3 honey colour, * 4 blue colour, * 5 black colour, * 7 cream colour, * 9 copper reflection.

The position of the number in the colour reference indicates the predominant colour, which is the first one.

Continuing with our example, the reference 001-41, tells us the model 001 painted in blue and white, being the blue the one that occupies more space in the piece as it occupies more and bigger squares, vice versa it would be the -14, if this model was painted in green we would only say 001-22, or if it was in honey and green 001-32.

As we said above, the tiles are painted in five colours and, for this purpose, we have devised the following codes. 00 Tile painted in the five basic colours, that is, white, green, honeyed, blue and black.

The variation in the number of colours, as well as in some colours, is expressed by changing the last zero by the number of the colour.

LAYING

Both cement mortar and synthetic adhesives can be used to lay our tiles, without necessarily having to leave joints between them. The potential expansion coefficient is 0.005 mm/m and its absorption coefficient is over 14%.

GLASSING

The glazes we use are of high quality and adhere perfectly to the biscuit. In laboratory tests we have reached a breaking strength of 8 Kg. per square centimetre that the glaze separates. The resistance of the glazes to aggressive media is perfect, as they are not attacked by acidic or basic components and do not lose colour even in the discolouration test.

The hardness of the glaze (SHORE) is higher than 100, which makes them optimal for cladding, but not for paving in places with heavy traffic, as their wear coefficient is 2.9 mm.

Our tiles show the phenomenon of cracking, especially in the green, honey and copper colours, due to their chemical composition, which gives them a special beauty, without affecting their durability. Proof of this are the tiles on display in Andalusian Baroque medieval Arab buildings from the 12th to the 17th century.
